First Snowfall of 2010

Here is a look at what happened over night last night:

We now have one foot of snow and a few less tree branches, but it is melting fast and is supposed to snow over the next three days... or at least that is what was said this morning on the news :-) No one in our family lost power so that is good news. There is just A LOT of snow on the ground and more to come!

Update from Mom and Dad

Thanks for the great picture Brent! There are more pictures of Mom and Dad at the airport on Brent and Emily's blog.

Mom and Dad called today. They gave us a little bit of information about what is going on with them.

They are in a temporary apartment right now because they are refinishing all of the bathrooms in their apartment building. They will move to their permanent apartment when its bathroom is done. Mom said that they have to be inside by 6:00 p.m. and they don't have a car so they don't really get to go places very often. They said that there are many beggars who stand between the cars and beg for money or offer to sell things.

Mom got to work in the room where the children wait to be sealed to their parents today. She got to play with a little boy about Linkin's age. He only spoke African so she couldn't talk with him but she got to play with him. It sounded like she was thinking about all of her grandchildren when she talked about her time with him.

They have all of the equipment for the Internet but it is not working yet. They said they have had several offers from people for Internet time on Thanksgiving and hopefully we can Skype with them that morning around 10:30 a.m. our time.

They sent their love to all of you. I know we are blessed because they are serving the Lord so far away. Hopefully they will be able to put their own updates on the blog soon.

Love you!
Kim
